War Pigs
by Cake
,

Superfan says: Let’s pray that no exorcism is needed because Cake seems to be channeling the evil spirit of iconic heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath on this cover of the 1971 classic, “War Pigs.” Cake’s recording trims some of the demonic elements away from the original, adding a dash of fire engine siren, and a pinch of Hammond organ to the cauldron. Once again, The Common Cold delivers today’s winner. Nice find!
